Another cause of flinching can be your eyes leaving the target. Whether it’s checking the barrel, the bird/barrel relationship, looking at the gap or just not seeing the target clearly, these can all cause flinching if your stance, posture and balance are all correct.

Adjusting your Hold Point

Sometimes when I’m shooting well I’ll move my hold point closer to my breakpoint. My normal set up is halfway between breakpoint and hard focus point. When in doubt move out.
